As you can see, with minimum hassle you can use this ingenious device to cook up a poached egg depending on your toast and egg requirements: a soft, medium or hard cooked centre can be created, and toast can be cooked from lightly toasted to heavily cremated. As well as poached eggs you can also cook boiled eggs (up to four at a time!), beans or a variety of meats such as bacon and sausage. It's a bit of a tech-y geeks toy, but it's bloody good fun (if toast n eggs are your thing) and ridiculously simple to use. Just fill up the silver water holder on the right hand side with the required amount of water depending upon how you want your eggs/beans/meat cooked, load up your toast, flick the switch and hey presto your breakfast will cook whilst you shower/make a cup of coffee/skim through the morning paper. There's no danger of it boiling over or overheating as the device cleverly knows when the water has all evaporated and this also prevents it from boiling dry. Generally the egg maker takes approximately three minutes in order to cook a soft boiled egg, and I have found that the perfect timing is to set the toast on 3-4 and cook the egg between soft and medium in order to have them both finished at near enough the same time.
